Synopsis:
Sixteen-year-old Sophie Bloom wishes she’d been taught the following:
a) Bad boy’s presence (TrOuBlE) + teen girl’s brain (DraMa) = TrAuMa (Highly unstable and very volatile.)
b) The Genus Greekulum Godissimus is notable for three traits: 1) awesome abilities, 2) grudges, and 3) hook-ups, break-ups, and in-fighting that puts cable to shame.
Prior to the Halloween dance, Sophie figures her worst problems involve adolescent theatrics, bitchy teen yoga girls, and being on probation at her boarding school for mouthy behaviour. Then she meets bad boy Kai and gets the kiss that rocks her world.
Literally.
This breath stealing lip lock reawakens Sophie’s true identity: Persephone, Goddess of Spring. She’s key to saving humanity in the war between the Underworld and Olympus, target numero uno of Hades and Zeus, and totally screwed.
Plus there’s also the little issue that Sophie’s last memory as Persephone was just before someone tried to murder her.
Big picture: master her powers, get her memories back, defeat Persephone’s would be assassin, and save the world. Also, sneak into the Underworld to retrieve stolen property, battle the minions of Hades and Zeus, outwit psycho nymphs, slay a dragon, rescue a classmate, keep from getting her butt expelled from the one place designed to keep her safe …
… and stop kissing Kai, Prince of the Underworld.

REVIEW:
I received the book for a honest review and as a part of the tour! Thanks!:)
I started to
read this book because it sounded fun and different, even the idea of goddesses
and Greek heroes is not something new. I don’t know if the fact that the book
made me laugh and giggle so many times counts but for me is important. When a
book makes me feel happy, sad, angry, when I want to rip off some heads: ))
because they piss me off and because the character is pissed too.
I won’t talk too much about the action, because
I want you to know and put the pieces together little by little. I want you to
enjoy the book and the characters, without knowing from me. But I can say that
I really enjoyed the book, the characters were natural and real, even Bethany
with her stupid face wasn’t so annoying. But this book have all you can want:
godesses and gods, dragons, oracles, suspense, love, but without being to much
and sugary, jokes, fun facts.
Sophie is the
type of girl that I really like, I mean she’s funny, she knows what she wants,
she help her friends and she know when she need help. And she doesn’t lose her
head when she finds out that she’s a goddess. And neither when she meet Kai.
Even she likes him and he’s gorgeous and his kisses… and… I liked that, that
she can remain the same and not going crazy in love for a boy that she just
met.
I liked Kai too,
even he’s a god and the bad boy, he was really cute. He’s natural and is not
trying to impress or something and when he’s a jerk, a little one, he makes you
angry but smiling too. He has something mysterious in it but he’s a good guy,
even he’s the son of Hades. A dark prince, ha.
About the other
characters I won’t talk because like that I will never finish this : )), but I
like them too, everyone has something special and I’m sure that in the next
books we we’ll find out even more about them, and the liking would grow.
In conclusion I
really enjoyed the book, it was a good one, a fun read, but in the same time
nice, fresh, full of suspense, with a little bit of friendship and love,
fights, lies, truths. I can’t wait to read the second one.
